Girls Night at the Rec: Creativity, Confidence, and Community in District F
Teenage girls from across District F were treated to a fun-filled and empowering evening at “Girls Night at the Rec,” a special event held at the Desert Breeze Community Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Designed to encourage creativity, connection, and confidence, the event offered a welcoming space for young ladies to relax, express themselves, and enjoy a night just for them.
One of the highlights of the evening was a DIY tumbler design station, where participants created their very own custom drink tumblers. With an array of colors, decals, and design options, the girls were able to showcase their personalities and take home a unique keepsake they designed themselves.
The fun didn’t stop there. SnapPicture Booth- Mobile Photo Booth Service- was there to allow the girls to snap unlimited photos, capturing laughter-filled moments with friends and making memories that will last long after the night ended. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as music played and friendships were strengthened.
Adding to the energy of the evening was a crowd-favorite activity, Pop Music Bingo. Featuring today’s most popular hits, the game had everyone singing along, laughing, and competing for bragging rights in a fun and engaging way.
“Girls Night at the Rec” was proudly hosted by Commissioner Justin Jones, who presides over District F. His commitment to creating positive, inclusive programming for youth was on full display, as the event emphasized the importance of providing safe and enriching spaces for young people to thrive.
The evening was a wonderful reminder of the power of community-centered events—bringing teens together to feel celebrated, heard, and inspired. Girls Night at the Rec was more than just a night out; it was an experience that uplifted, connected, and empowered the next generation of young women in Las Vegas.
